My client is a global name in the design and development of complex products and now seek an experienced Optical Designer to join them:
Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for design and development of complex optical and photoelectric sensors
- Create detailed test plans, perform V&V, and implement procedures
- Liaise with electrical, electronic, and mechanical engineers on new and custom product design
- Sustain product lifecycle including customer complaints, components obsolescence, failure analysis
- Design optical system that includes lens, aperture, and filters that meet sensor specification considering mechanical and electrical tolerance
- Liaising with Headquarter for technical support and technology transfer
Requirements:
- Masters/Degree in Optics, Physics, Optoelectronics or equivalent wit at least 5 years' experience in optical design and development
- Experience with optical design software such as ZeMax
- Knowledge of photonic design for optical sensors will be a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage multiple projects
