My client is a global name in the design and development of complex medical devices and now seeks and experienced R&D Maintenance Engineer to provide technical support for product and process development
Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for technical co-ordination and processing of change management tasks
- Ensure support of first article inspection production problems with regard to specification issues
- Provide first level technical support and generate ideas to R&D project for product design solutions, process possibilities, and equipment options
- Support CAPA Process
- Align specification changes and adjustments with R&D, Validation, Regulatory Affairs and Risk Management departments
- Create and design specification documents such as purchasing specifications, test specifications, drawings etc.
- Supporting of supplier qualifications
- Develop test specifications for components, subassemblies and complete products
- Support the product development group to create, improve and execute fatigue test to support the design process
- Collaborate with engineers and production in continuous process improvement projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Material Sciences or equivalent
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in medical device industry or high-volumne production industry
- Experiences in analytic methods
- Experience working with CAD software (3D modelling and 2D drawings)
- Expertise in the development of medical products and approval process is preferred
- Knowledge in the verification and validation of processes and medical devices
- Proficient in Project Management
- Team player with strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and intercultural skills
