A global trading services firm is seeking a Market Analyst to work as part of a strong strategic marketing team. This role would be based in Singapore and covering the APAC region. Being the face of the company, the aim of the role is to represent and create a strong presence of the company in the media, where your input on market trends within the financial and mainstream press would be substantial enough to generate a significant following on the company's social media channels.
Key Responsibilities
- To produce timely market analysis that identifies key upcoming trends and market movers, for distribution both to external media and through the company's own channels to clients in both English & Mandarin
- Produce written reports daily in English & Mandarin on global market news across all services offered on the company's trading platform
- Provide daily content for the APAC websites and social channels -building English & Chinese language analysis around the region. This would include workshops, webinars, and seminars
- Monitor market trends on a regular basis, consolidate market information and work closely with other teams to help identify areas where coverage can be provided
- Develop and deliver materials for training courses for all levels of trading client - including but not limited to seminars, website content, recorded videos, and social media
- Plan content for Seminars, Workshops, Webinars, and videos
- Set agenda for key market events external press coverage should be considered and take calendarize the events
- Develop relationships with key press contacts in both local and international media, so as to get high profile coverage for the company
- Be the point of contact for media queries and be able to give interviews at short notice
Key Requirements
- Degree-educated in Finance or business-related disciplines with a minimum 3 years' experience in derivative trading and/or financial industry
- Adept in technical analysis for trading in products including Equities, Indices, Forex, and Commodities would be a bonus
- Media-trained with at least 2 years of experience interviewing with reputable networks on TV, radio and for written press - experience with presenting to a large crowd would be fundamental
- Strong ability to identify and analyse market trends, and present them on media in a professional manner
- Knowledge of and relationships with the local media networks
- Experience in developing a social following, especially with Twitter and WeChat
- Excellent written and verbal ability in English and Mandarin as you would be dealing with Mandarin-speaking clients across APAC
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages
- Strong "go-getter" and independent personality and character with strong prioritization and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and able to work well under pressure
