My client is an industry leader and is looking for a Commodities Manager to come on board and specialise in subcontracting. The ideal candidate has extensive EPC experience and has been in strategic sourcing for at least a decade with some knowledge of contract writing.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic negotiation with and within the company to enjoy maximum cost savings
- Create and implement innovate sourcing strategies for at least the next 2 years
- New supplier qualification and selection adhering to company policy
- Look into the developments of new materials or the usage of new technologies to drive cost down
- International markets experience of metallic raw materials and other global commodity markets
- Maintain compliance within the suppliers and the company
- Look at creating and implementing cost models for the assigned commodity
- Maintain existing suppliers to ensure continued excellence
- Make sure that the implementation process between suppliers go smoothly
- Making sure that the supply chain is stable by having multiple strategic sourcing strategies
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing globally
- At least 5 years in a commercial role (sales/negotiation)
- Some experience in contract underwriting is a plus
- Strong experience in leading continuous improvement projects
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain or equivalent.
- International experience of contract management of third party service providers; including mechanical and electrical installation, civils and engineering service providers
