Sourcing Indirect Materials

My client is a leader in the manufacturing space and is looking for an Indirect Sourcing Specialist to join the team as it expands. Ideally this candidate has prior experience handling similar commodities in a large MNC.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the Portfolio of Commercial Property, Information and Communications Technology, Company Car Fleet and Travel supplies
  • Work closely with the internal team to identify strategic sourcing strategies
  • Contract negotiation with all suppliers and external stakeholders
  • Conduct RFPs, RFQs etc and negotiate contracts with global and local suppliers
  • Maintain a strong relationship with current suppliers and work on onboarding new
  • Provide business recommendations for the category after working with the data and analytics
  • Come up with complex BI reports to help in decision making
  • Help the team come up with cost saving plans for large scale projects in the company
  • Making sure that all the local policies and compliance guidelines ae met

Requirements:

  • Previous experience managing an Indirect Portfolio with similar commodities
  • Good track record with negotiating national/ transnational contracts
  • Experience developing effective supplier relationships
  • Good grasp of legal legislation such as the Modern Slavery Act, Contract Law etc
  • Be comfortable and able to handle big data and compile complex business insights to help in the making of market research reports
  • Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
