Data Center Head of Operation
A fast-growing Data Centre player is looking for a General Manager to look after their DC Operation in Singapore. The General Manager will be the key player in setting up the processes and operation in Singapore and contribute in company's expansion across the APAC region.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the core team with a broad set of responsibilities; manage and strategize activities with outcome-based focus on continuous improvement
- Establish and track against KPIs, SLAs, and metrics (incl. performance, capacity, availability, budget)
- Management of the data center Operations budget (Opex /Capex) to the agreed targets.
- Prepare and present monthly management report to top management.
- Oversee onsite incident response, problem resolution, and change management process to support client needs
- Develop and enforcement of critical business continuity plans, including design and implementation of disaster preparedness, detailed project management, and rollout coordination
- Oversee the client facing Project deployment
- Oversee facilities life cycle planning and management
- Ensures compliancy to the Singapore legislations on the daily operations/engineering activity
- Build up a trustful customer relationship within the operations team
- Support regular audit activity by implement policies and procedures to ensure meet compliance requirements.
- Support sales on potential deal
- Manage vendors and contractors to achieve maximum effectiveness and efficiency (safety, cost, equipment lead time, and reliability) and to maintain the Mechanical & Electrical infrastructure per data center industrial best practices
- Implement, enforce, maintain, control work flows and processes within the data centre
Requirement:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science or technology related.
- Experience in Data center operations and maintenance
- Working knowledge of Data Centre critical systems, including diesel generators, UPS systems, fuel systems, switchgear, power distribution equipment, chillers, computer room air handlers, fire detection/suppression and building monitoring system
