My client is a global name in the design and manufacturing of complex electronic components and now seek an experienced Mechanical Product Design Engineer to join them. This role is based in China
Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Connectors and Cable assembly products from concept design till mass production
- Lead design review and iterations to optimize new solution for cost, process and quality
- Support engineering changes, kaizen & investigate design / quality issues
- Develop on the basis of design specifications in accordance with the functional specifications and tests, analyses and verifies their performance.
- Finalize the design specifications, drawings and writes test scenarios' for the developed components or assemblies.
- Support design review qualification process, verification & validation, PLM, BOM, technical documentation
Requirements:
- Advanced Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 - 7 years' of experience in mechanical design
- Higher level 3D Surface and Solid modeling, 2D drafting,
- Solid knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT),
- Able to Understand product development processes and deliverables
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skill
