My client is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of complex products that improve human lives. It now seeks and experienced Automation Engineer to develop and implement manufacturing processes to meet future production requirements

Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve automated solutions for new and existing products and processes
- Develop new manufacturing processes and internal technical capabilities with focus on automation for new product development activities
- Design layout of equipment or workspaces and optimize the production flow to achieve maximum efficiency
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing products and process improvement
- Conduct prototyping and verification activities to determine the feasibility of designs
- Apply advanced electronic control systems, designs and assist in the development of new electro-mechanical concepts for new product lines
- Provide technical leadership in Design for Automation requirements for new design projects
- Assemble components, prepare test plans and support testing and validation of products.
- Perform routine professional-based activities, contribute to projects and provide advice in primary areas of expertise
- Leverage professional expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results
- Lead sub-functional teams or projects and train and mentor junior team members.
Requirements:
- Degree/master's in electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering with at least 7 years' experience
- Demonstrate experience in designing and layout of complex automated production cells including extensive robots and new processes
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with Fanuc/ABB/Kuka Robots or equivalent
- Extensive robot programming experience and PLC Programming will be a plus
- Proven expertise in New Process Development
- Stronghold in electrical, mechanical and pneumatic design knowledge of Robotic systems and automated machinery
- Knowledge and interest in current Industry trend (Industry 4.0)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
