My client is a global name in innovation and technology. Its products are used worldwide and have made life easier for millions.
It now seeks an experienced individual to oversee the product development and creative and business operation of the organization, focused on design and innovation. In this role, you will be responsible for driving innovation across all product portfolios. As the Director, you will be leading a team to own product development, conceptualise and commercialize designs within a specific timeline, work with global business heads and regional product managers and ensure that all deliverables are aligned with the headquarters.
You will propose, develop, and execute projects and a roadmap aimed at targeting the needs and goals of the business unit, such as improving the current products and identifying new solutions and product opportunities that address global consumer changing lifestyle and needs. You will explore, experiment and develop new research methods and discover new open-innovation platforms (through cross industry participation and collaborations)
You will have at least 15 years of experience in new product development, industrial design, design management or product innovation. Ideally, you have an advanced degree in Industrial Design, User Experience, or Design Management. You have an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong passion for data visualization (both qualitative and quantitative) and be up to speed with the current consumer market trends. Most importantly, you are someone who can incorporate business needs and innovation process and conceptualize them towards commercialization & deployment. You have experience working with business managers and marketing teams to align projects with strategic sales goals and market initiatives.
You have a strong entrepreneurial mindset, exceptional creative vision and mastery of innovation process, together with great story telling ability. You are an excellent storyteller who can see beyond the visual and bring out the aesthetic appeal of a product
