My client is a world leader in the manufacturing of complex medical devices and now seek an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Responsibilities:
- Manage, lead and mentor the manufacturing engineering team of Senior/Manufacturing Engineers
- Mentor and review team members' career development, identifying training and providing opportunities to broaden experience
- Ensure the project delivery objectives, timeline and cost management are met.
- Act as communication interface between Manufacturing Engineering teams and Management
- Work with supplier alliance teams, suppliers and product design teams to maximise the value of supplied components as a part of the overall product realisation process
- Develop plans for the continual improvement of manufacturing using Lean and Six Sigma tools
- Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, EHS standards and other business systems
- Determine, implement appropriate facilities and equipment to support and improve current and future productions
- Introduce and implement the metric programs on production and support
Requirements:
- Advanced Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing or equivalent with at least 10 - 15 years in high volume manufacturing
- Experience in process validation and within a regulated environment (ISO 13845, FDA quality system regulations, GMP manufacturing)
- Stong experience with injection molding, process validation, LSR (Liquid Silicon Rubber) will be a big plus
- 6-sigma Green Belt or lean manufacturing certificate will be advantageous
- Ability to manage projects and maintain relationships across all levels
- Strong influential and negotiation skills
