My client is an industry leader in the industrial automation/manufacturing space and is looking for a Trade Compliance Manager to come on board. Ideally this candidate will have regional experience in a similar role and strong knowledge on updated compliance laws.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for Trade Compliance in the APAC region
- Have deep knowledge and function as a person in charge for all business units who may have queries in this department
- Make sure that all government import and export laws are complied with and handle any and all escalations required
- Participate in continuous improvement projects
- Come up with training plans for all the relevant personnel
- Develop and execute an audit programme
- Ensure that holds are released in the correct way
- Work with the finance departments to make sure that guidelines are accurate
- Support other business units who may need assistance with regulatory compliance
Requirements:
- Degree in Business with at least 8 years of relevant experience doing trade compliance
- Proven technical knowledge in an international environment is a must
- Must be able to have some experience with Oracle, TRA/X Tradesphere/Amber
