Our client, a European MNC is looking for an experienced Head of Learning & Development (L&D) to join their growing team here in Singapore. This is a newly created role, so there is an opportunity to really make it your own. The Head of L&D will be reporting directly into the Head of HR and be responsible for setting up, driving and overseeing learning initiatives across APAC.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the learning and development strategy for the APAC region
  • Act as the functional lead for the regional and international team comprising Head of Schools and Trainers to drive the regional, functional and country level learning strategies
  • Ensure consistency of processes across all schools and learning initiatives. This includes but is not limited to trainer certification, learning methodologies, quality standards of trainers, assessments, learning content and tools
  • Develop the Competency Framework for the business
  • Be the subject matter expert for all learning-related matters and a partner to the business on employee development
  • Introduce cutting edge learning methods and platforms
  • Implement and maintain learning KPI's
  • Engage with key stakeholders across APAC to ensure learning interventions are effective for the business

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or a Business related field
  • At least 8 years of regional learning and development experience within an MNC
  • Previous experience in technical and soft skills training
  • Ability to facilitate and conduct learning programs in leadership and softskills across all levels of the business
  • Ability to design learning programs on a range of platforms using adult learning theory and pedagogy to deliver effective learning experiences
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Certification in instructional systems design / coaching is an advantage
