The Role
Taking responsibility for the financial operations of a key Business Unit the Financial Controller will ensure that systems and processes are harmonised whilst maintaining tight financial control during that process.
This is a highly complex organisation with operations across the globe so there is a requirement to ensure finance teams produce timely and accurate financial reporting and adherence to group policies to allow accurate reporting. Other responsibilities include; Prepare and publish timely monthly consolidated group financial statements, coordinate the preparation of the statutory accounts and ensure that the business is meeting its statutory tax and accounting obligations, research technical accounting issues for compliance, have overall responsibility for the group month-end and year-end close process for all group companies, ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting, develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls and of course a willingness and desire to get involved in numerous group level projects.
Your Profile
As a key leadership hire there is a requirement that this Financial Controller is CPA/CA qualified, audit trained, has 12+ years of experience, have worked in a leading, matrix global company to understand the complexities of reporting and relationship building, must have international markets experience outside of APAC, have led a team, be a confident communicator in English in order to communicate effectively with teams around the world and have the drive, determination and desire to deliver beyond expectations.
