This is a high-profile role as an APAC Consumer Insights & Category Strategy Director is to be appointed in the Singapore office will be part of the Leadership team. You will work closely with the President and regional directors for their portfolio of brands to establish a strategic shopper insights and strategy program via innovative recommendations and problem solving. You will be the go to person for insights in this region and you will regularly provide knowledge sharing to the wider global network and offer consultancy where required.
In addition, you will work closely with internal team to develop strong relationships with key retailers and vendors including research agencies to ensure opportunities for collaboration and deliverables are provided in a timely manner. This role will be focused on the behaviors of shoppers and retail dynamics. In formulating the category strategy, you will need to understand subcategory dynamics to provide support of its growth.
Candidates should have a degree with at least 10 years of work experience as an insight professional from a consumer brand with significant hands on responsibility for running research projects and leading analysis. Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to present data creatively are required for the success of this role. Ability to speak Mandarin is essential as China is a big market for their portfolio. You should be passionate about brands, travel, technology and keep up with social media trends.
